Outdoor Event

For event planners, DMCs, and agencies

holiday-party-music

A lot of my work comes through planners, destination management companies, hotel event teams, and agencies. Here's everything you'd usually ask before adding a musician to an event, in one place. My goal is to be the one vendor you don't have to think about.

How I take direction

I work from your run of show. I hit my cues, stop cleanly for remarks, dress to the event, and don't need handling on site. On multi-day programs I can cover more than one evening, which saves you a second vendor and a second load-in. And I never go around the person who brought me the work.

What I need from the venue

For anything I can drive to: a standard power outlet and about a six-by-six-foot space. I bring my own sound system, microphones, instruments, and cables. If the venue has house sound and you'd rather I plug in, I can send a feed to the house board instead.

For events that require a flight, sound is provided locally: a house PA or two powered speakers, two XLR inputs, one vocal mic on a boom stand, and one monitor. I'll send a one-page tech rider with the agreement and confirm details with your AV team about ten days out.

Booking terms

  • A short call or email to scope the event, then a written quote, usually the same day

  • A simple one-page agreement once the quote is approved

  • 50% to hold the date, balance on the day of the event

  • Happy to work on your terms instead: PO, net terms, vendor portals, or invoice after the event. Just flag it when we talk.

  • W-9 available on request

If something goes wrong

I'm on site at least two hours early for every event. Backup power, cables, spare strings, and a second mic stay in my car. In the rare case I can't make a confirmed date, I'll find a comparable act through my network rather than leave you to solve it.

Where I've worked

Pinehurst Resort, Bald Head Island Club, the World Golf Hall of Fame, Governors Club, the Country Club of Landfall, Country Club of NC, The Governor's Club, Brier Creek Country Club, and City Club Raleigh, along with corporate programs for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Titleist, and Campbell's. I also work with East Coast Entertainment and with event production companies across the Triangle.

Send me the date, venue, and rough program flow, and I'll send back a quote formatted to drop straight into your proposal.
